The Board of Education supports the formation and vitality of parent
organizations recognizing that they are a valuable resource to the
school. While parent organizations shall have no administrative
authority and cannot determine District policy, their suggestions and
assistance are welcome. Membership will be open and unrestricted. The
organization will maintain a set of rules and procedures under which it
operates and agree to adhere to all Board polices. The District is not
responsible for the organization’s business or conduct of its members.
The organization maintains and protects its own finances.
The Board of Education recognizes and supports the Wilmette
Village-Wide PTO, the Central School PTA, the Harper School PTO, the
McKenzie School PTA, the Romona School PTA, the Highcrest Middle School
PTO, and the Wilmette Junior High School PTO.
