Summer Enrichment Registration will open February 6, 2017 and run through March 10, 2017. Late registrations will be accepted between March 20, 2017 and May 5, 2017. A $9 per class late registration fee will be charged.

Cover-2016 thumbThe District 39 five week Summer Enrichment Program offers children completing kindergarten through seventh grade an opportunity for fun, creativity, and learning.

What kind of classes do we offer? Here is just an example:

Cooking, rocketry, sculpture, study about different countries, chess, drawing, math games, Minecraft, crafts, nature explorations, rope climbing, board games, science, social thinking, lots of sports, yoga, city building simulation, iMovie, fashion design, photography, physics, comic book art, animation, jazz band, song writing through technology, flag football, sewing and quilting, brain benders, and so much more!

The program will be held from June 14 through July 18, 2017. Children may enroll in one, two, or three classes. Bus transportation is available and "link-up" bus service is available after the last morning class each day to students enrolled in Wilmette Park District camps.

The 2017 SEP catalog is available online or at the Mikaelian Education Center, 615 Locust Rd. Wilmette, or at the Wilmette Public Library.

Dates

The 2017 Summer Enrichment Program will be held on weekday mornings for five weeks, beginning Wednesday, June 14, 2017 and ending Tuesday, July 18, 2017. School will not be in session on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.

Location

This year’s program will be held at two campuses. Grades K–3 will be conducted at Central School, 910 Central Ave, and Grades 4–7 will be conducted at Wilmette Junior High School, 620 Locust Road.

Enrollment

Children who have completed any grade, Kindergarten through 7, may attend the Summer Enrichment Program. Students need not be residents of Wilmette District 39, except as noted. Students should register for the grade they will complete in June, 2017.

Schedule

Children may register for one, two, or three classes. All classes are 50 minutes long, with few exceptions. Central will be open from 8:20 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and WJHS will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. The periods are as follows:

Central (K–3)
Period 1 – 8:30 – 9:20 a.m.
Period 2 – 9:30 a.m. – 10:20 a.m.
Period 3 10:30 – 11:20 a.m.
Wilmette Junior High School (4–7)
Period 1 – 8:45 – 9:35 a.m.
Period 2 – 9:45 – 10:35 a.m.
Period 3 – 10:45 – 11:35 a.m.
