Board of Education
Committee of the Whole
There shall be no standing committees except the Committee of the Whole, but special temporary committees shall be appointed by the President of the Board for fact-finding, deliberative, and advisory functions only, but never to have legislative or administrative power.
Notice of meetings of the Board as A Committee of the Whole shall be given in the same manner as required by law for regular Board meetings. Such meetings will be open to the public, except for portions of such meetings held in executive session as permitted by state law (Illinois Open Meetings Act). The public shall not have the right to address the Board but may do so at the sufferance of the Board. No decisions shall be made by the Board; however minutes of the meeting shall be taken.
