Students

Registration

Prior to the beginning of each school year the administration shall take such steps as are necessary to inform the residents of the school district about the details of registration for the admission of new pupils to schools of the District.

Attendance

The School Code requires consistent daily attendance. However, the question of each child’s attendance should, as far as law will allow, be viewed as to what is best educationally.

The administration will consider parental requests for temporary, alternate, and equally rewarding educational experiences for their children.

Determination of exemption from attendance of a student, because of health or physical condition, shall be in accordance with the requirements of the Illinois State board of Education.

Attendance Registers

Teachers shall keep daily registers showing the name, age and attendance of each pupil, plus the day of week, month and year. Registers shall be provided which conform with the rules and regulations prescribed by the Illinois State Board of Education.
