Wilmette Public School District 39's Online Application Process
To establish a complete pre-employment file, please complete the online application. Your application will be retained in active status until October 1. If selected for an interview, we will contact you for further information.

Out of State Applicants IMPORTANT NOTE: Currently, out-of-state applicants can request an Illinois provisional certificate if they hold a valid out-of-state certificate. A provisional certificate is valid for a minimum of two fiscal years. Illinois will currently issue the provisional certificate even though an applicant has not yet taken the Test of Academic Proficiency-TAP (400). However, once ISBE transitions from their current certification system to a licensure system (scheduled for June 1, 2013), out-of-state applicants will be required to have passed the TAP and the content area (e.g. Elementary/Middle Grades or other content area) test before a provisional license will be issued. Special education teachers will also need to have passed the special education general curriculum test.
It is our recommendation that you plan to take the required tests as soon as possible rather than attempt to transfer out of state test scores as this can be a very long process and may delay issuance of a certificate (and eligibility for a position). Please refer to the ISBE certification web site (www.isbe.net/certification/default.htm) and/or the Illinois Certification System (www.icts.nesinc.com/index.asp) web site for information on certification and testing.
