General Information

- Wilmette Public Schools began Spanish instruction as part of the elementary school day in 2005. It is now a part of the core curriculum for all elementary students in Kindergarten through Fourth Grades.
- All Spanish classes are 20 minutes in length.
- Kindergarten students receive Spanish instruction two times a week. First through Fourth grade students have Spanish class on a daily basis.
- When students enter the fifth grade, they have the choice of continuing their Spanish studies, or trying a new language: French, German, Latin or Mandarin.
