It brings me great joy to welcome you to the Wilmette Public Schools District 39 website.
Wilmette Public Schools are committed to nurturing, guiding and challenging each one of our students so that they develop the critical thinking and collaboration skills needed to become socially responsible, compassionate and productive citizens. Our dedicated and highly-qualified educators are integral to this mission along with our close partnerships with parents and the community at large as we work together to support our students’ many successes.
Within our six outstanding Wilmette Public Schools, we serve approximately 3,700 students in PreK-8th grade throughout Wilmette and in parts of Glenview and Winnetka. Our four elementary schools – Central, Harper, McKenzie and Romona – as well as Highcrest Middle School and Wilmette Junior High School are among some of the finest and most distinguished schools in the state. Several D39 schools have been designated as Blue Ribbon schools by the United States Department of Education and others have attained exemplary status from the Illinois State Board of Education. We take great pride in our students, in the continued success of our schools and in the strong family-school partnerships that makes our collective success possible.
